MEET THE TEAM

Chris Gray
PRINCIPAL
Recognized by The Hill Times as one of the top 100 lobbyists in Canada, Chris has worked in government and public affairs for 20 years. His career started on Parliament Hill working for MPs and a cabinet minister, before moving to the private sector with organizations including Cando, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and The Heart & Stroke Foundation. Chris also worked as a Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Indian Affairs. Chris is a graduate of Mount Allison University in New Brunswick.
Andrew Neuheimer
CONSULTANT
As a consultant at CGA, Andrew supports clients (NGCI, Cando, CLA, etc.) on many matters including drafting letters, setting up and attending meetings, and sending regular government relations updates. Andrew has regulatory experience, working at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, Canada’s nuclear regulator. In addition, Andrew worked on Parliament Hill working for an MP as a Communications Assistant. Andrew is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, studying Political Science.

Laurèl Laurin
CONSULTANT

Laurèl Laurin is a fluently bilingual government relations specialist with over 25 years of experience providing strategic advocacy advice and government relations support. She has successfully advanced public policy on behalf of professional associations, environmental groups, academic institutions, charities, transnational corporations, and Canadian businesses.
With a deep understanding of legislative, regulatory, and communications frameworks, as well as extensive knowledge of public policy development and the federal political landscape, Ms. Laurin positions her clients to achieve solutions aligned with their priorities and objectives.
Beyond her professional work, Ms. Laurin is actively engaged in community initiatives. She has co-chaired the Ottawa Bell Walk for Kids, volunteered at the Awesome Auction for the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, co-hosted Brain Injury Canada events, and serves as a proud Director on the CAPSA Board.
Brendan Mackay
CONSULTANT
Brendan Mackay is a consultant with expertise in strategic communication and analysis in government relations and advocacy. He collaborates closely with many industry association clients, assisting clients in managing complex projects. Brendan is a skilled writer and researcher for CGA clients. Brendan gained valuable communications experience during his time at The Hill Times. He holds a degree from Algonquin College and has also studied at Carleton University.

Jarred Cohen
CONSULTANT

Jarred is an experienced bilingual government relations professional currently working as consultant with CGA who helps clients navigate Canada's public policy landscape by developing and implementing unique solutions to suit their needs. He has developed and implemented policy positions on behalf of business and industry associations representing firms of all sizes, particularly in the agriculture, cannabis, and transportation sectors. Jarred was also the policy lead on several public and government relations campaigns including foodservices during the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain disruptions in the agriculture and agri-food sector Jarred has also spent time working on Parliament Hill working for several MPs and in the digital operations department of the Conservative Party of Canada. These experiences have helped shape his extensive knowledge of the Canadian public policy process and translating that knowledge into meaningful wins for association members and clients.
Jarred holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Queen's University and a Master's degree in European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies from Carleton University.
